Weight Loss Treatment - Update to eligibility

Eligibility Criteria for GP-Prescribed Weight Loss Treatment (Mounjaro)

• Your BMI must be over 35 (previously 40)

and

• You must have a confirmed diagnosis of at least four out of the following five conditions:
• Hypertension (high blood pressure requiring medication)
• Obstructive sleep apnoea (confirmed by a sleep clinic AND meeting their criteria for CPAP)
• Type 2 diabetes
• Cardiovascular disease (heart disease, stroke, or vascular disease)
• Dyslipidaemia (treated on a statin or alternative and still has high Lipids (LDL > 4.1)

and

• Agree to the national data requirements for the LCS and to fully engage in the Wraparound weight loss service being provided nationally (if patients do not attend 3 of these appointments NHSE have advised they will not be allowed to access or return onto this national weight loss scheme)
